Haciendas de México- Santa Rosa of Lima

Located in the Ejido La Florida in the municipality of Cardonal, Hidalgo.

Cardonal is 20 km from Ixmiquilpan. This is an Otomi region.

Here you can visit the temple and former Hacienda de Santa Rosa de Lima.

There are several former haciendas of Santa Rosa de Lima in the country as an example, El Oro and Yucatan. The one I'm referring to now is in the state of Hidalgo.

The temple is in use and open for worship.

Notice that the blacksmith shop on the access door to the esplanade says 1724

Unfortunately the former hacienda is very destroyed, on the outside it does not seem so but if we enter it is falling, literally ...

Even so, if you like photography, you can get some very nice photos.

The esplanade of the temple and Hacienda has a kiosk

And outside, from neighbor, a bullring, curious to be a municipality with such low population density, 31 / km2.

If you plan to do ecotourism, you can stay at the Cabañas La Florida with all the comforts in a nice and clean place. This is a hiking area.

The roofs of the huts are made with lettuces that look like this:

To later look like this:

There is no wifi and very bad cell phone signal but who needs them in these cases!

I warn you that arrival is not so clean since your arrival will be through a  very dry valley, you will arrive "a little" buried as you can see by our vehicle that was freshly washed.

And since you are here, you can visit the cave paintings of the area for which you have to walk along a river and in which in addition to seeing a beautiful canyon, you will hear calandrias and you will see thousands of axolotls.

Along the river there are small crystalline pools where you can cool off and enjoy the place.

You can also see the different geological layers and very nice rock formations

Once here, you are close to the caves of Tolantongo, in case you wanna countinue with another great experience.

The photographs that are included, are of my authorship.
