✨ A Spin in the Heights: Visit the 360 Wheel in Chapultepec, Mexico City πŸš‘πŸŒ‡

Every night I see it shining from my window: the 360 Wheel, lit up with thousands of colorful lights, seems to invite you to see the city from a new angle. I finally went to visit it… and I promise you, it’s totally worth it.

Riding this giant wheel isn’t just a spin (literally), it’s a whole experience. Before boarding, there’s a small interactive exhibit with fun facts about the Mexico City — and they’re fantastic! For example:

  • Did you know that SebastiΓ‘n’s sculpture “El Caballito” ("Little Horse") is actually a vent for the deep drainage system?, It is not little at all! Height is 28 m.!
  • Chapultepec is twice the size of Central Park in New York (almost 7 km²).
  • Mexico City’s Subway has 226 km of tracks and 12 lines, moving over 7 million people daily.
  • In 1629, the city was flooded for five years — with up to 2 meters of water!
  • The origins of very common expressions like papalotear (to flutter around) or caer el veinte (to finally get it).

Then comes the best part: stepping into the cabin and enjoying a 40-minute panoramic view over Polanco, Reforma, Chapultepec, and more. It’s amazing to see familiar places from above… and discover new ones you didn’t know were there.
